Welcome to Algebra Tea House, a Middle Eastern tea room located in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio. This charming spot offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for both solo visits and group gatherings. As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of experiencing the unique offerings at Algebra Tea House.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff and a menu filled with a wide selection of teas. From the rich and robust Assam Jorhat Blend to the earthy Dragonwell Tea, there is something to satisfy every tea lover's palate. The house smoothie, infused with a delicate floral touch of rose water, was a standout favorite among customers.
For those looking for a bite to eat, Algebra Tea House offers a variety of Middle Eastern dishes, such as shawarma sandwiches and Palestinian flatbreads. While the beef in the shawarma sandwich could have been more tender, the flavors were still exceptional. The Labneh and Yafa oh Yafa flatbread were praised for their generous portions and delicious flavors.
Customers also raved about the unique ambiance at Algebra Tea House, with decor inspired by Middle Eastern culture and Fairouz playing in the background. The handthrown mugs and cozy interior create a welcoming and artsy atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.
Overall, Algebra Tea House is a hidden gem in Cleveland, offering a delightful blend of flavors, inviting ambiance, and excellent customer service. Whether you're a tea enthusiast, food lover, or simply looking for a new hangout spot, Algebra Tea House is definitely worth a visit.

Super cozy and inviting atmosphere with kind staff. I loved the delicious house smoothie which had a nice floral addition of rose water; it's probably one of the best smoothies I've ever had! The shawarma sandwich was a fair size, but the beef could've been more tender. Overall, I'm excited to go to Algebra in the future and try more of their menu!

The ambiance is my favorite! Walked in with the most beautiful decor and Fairouz playing. I love the decor and the vibes. Food was great and service was pretty fast for now busy they were! Cups are unique as well!

Stopped in to warm up with tea. I got the chai to warm up - I prefer it a little sweeter, but I didn't wanna alter the favor. The inside was so cute and cozy. All the food looked so good! We got an array of food. I did not like the green dip, but the hummus was really good! And the falafel was really good. I would come back for the tea and coffee!

This is a little gem in Cleveland! If you like tea, need to get some work done, or need a new place to meet up with friends, this is a great spot. It's located in the Little Italy neighborhood near the CWRU campus. You can come for a cup of tea, to eat lunch, or to buy some international grocery items. We got the dip plate as a snack and it was delicious! You can tell that there is authenticity behind the dishes. The house chai was a little disappointing to me, but because they have such an extensive menu, I would definitely return to try other teas.

My friends took me here when I was visiting and I'm almost mad that they hadn't brought me on my last two visits to Cleveland because I love tea houses. We sat outside at their cute sidewalk seating and all enjoyed beverages and some snacks. We got the Labneh (Lebanese cheese served with pita) and the Yafa oh Yafa flatbread (flatbread with veggies, walnuts, and cheese). Both portions were surprisingly large for appetizers/small plates and everything was delicious! Simple ingredients done very well, with very clean flavors. The labneh was creamy, the flatbread was crispy, and the pita was nice and warm. I can't remember the name of it, but I also got an iced tea latte thing that was delicious (it was a special written near the register), but I would honestly try most of their 30+ teas! It took a little while to get the food, but I take that as a good sign that everything was made fresh. Can't wait to come back and try more food and teas!

This is an interesting place with a truly unique ambiance. However I would not come here for anything other than the tea. We ordered a Palestinian flatbread, a Mediterranean omelette and the algebra dessert. Service was painfully slow. The omelette was greasy and tasteless, the dessert was dry and clearly tasted stale (I've made this myself so I know what it should taste like) literally couldn't even pick it up with a fork as it crumbled--even what was supposed to be the chocolatey part. The flatbread was the only saving grace and the teas were nice

Let me say that Algebra Tea House is one of those places where everything is simply excellent... food, service, ambiance. Last evening was perfect! Great recommendations, friendly staff, tasty food (by the way, get the dip plate and a Yafa), and this rooibos tea was absolutely my favorite!!! Did I mention the outside seating was THE BEST!!! I mean, perfect weather, a beautiful cobblestone road, people-watching, and the company of good people. I will return and HIGHLY recommend it!

This place is adorable, from the hobbit-hole-esque front door to the hand thrown mugs that the beverages come in. It's a very artsy hang out down Murray Hill in Little Italy. The tea and pastries were delicious and really well priced. My friend and I each had a chai, and I had a piece of the baklava. The chai tea came out as a lightly sweetened chai latte, that was made from real tea. So good! We were charmed by the mugs and really enjoyed the interior and the vibes. This is the kind of place you can go with friends and stay for a while. I have the feeling this is a popular and underrated breakfast spot, too! I intend to come back after a class at CLE Yoga. Note - mostly street parking with an itty bitty parking lot in the back.

Want to experience the heart of culture? It's at the Algebra Tea House I decided to stop by for tea while killing time waiting to meet up my friend. I love the aesthetics of their mugs and how their kitchen is an open display.
